As cremation becomes more widespread, the way we remember our loved ones is quietly beginning to shift. For a long time, cremated remains have existed as "objects to be stored" inside urns or boxes. Over time, physical distance creates emotional distance, deepening the sense of loss brought by separation from the ones we loved.
Selah rewrites that story. The stones born from cremated remains liberate memorialization from a single location, bringing it back into our daily lives — not as a substitute for those who have passed, but as a medium to maintain an ongoing connection. How it
works
From Ashes to Stone
It begins with your Selah Kit. Inside you'll find a sterilized vial, a scoop, and prepaid, pre-labeled return packaging. Gently gather a portion of your pet's ashes, seal the box, and send it back to our NYC studio. A unique tracking ID stays with your loved one from the moment they leave your hands.
Within 6–8 weeks, your Selah Stones arrive at your door, complete and with nothing lost along the way. They are ready to hold, to keep close, or to be set into Selah Jewelry.

Process
Preparation
1. After removing impurities, analyze the composition of the cremated ash powder and measure it precisely.
2. Separate the measured ash powder into raw ash powder and ash powder designated for phosphorus (P) extraction.
Extraction
3. Liquid-extract the phosphorus (P) component using a high-shear mixer.
4. Separate the extracted liquid phase from solid residue.
5. Remove unwanted components using an ion-exchange resin filter.
Concentration
6. Concentrate the phosphorus (P) component by evaporating water content.
Drying
7. Vaporize unwanted components and improve viscosity through heating.
Preparation
8. Homogenize and stabilize under constant temperature and humidity conditions
Mixing
9. Mix the raw ash powder with the concentrated phosphorus (P) liquid and dry it.
10. Finely and uniformly pulverize the mixed ash powder.
Filling
11. Fill into a dedicated melting mold and set it in the melting furnace.
Melting
12. Melt under precisely controlled temperature conditions.
Cooling
13. Slow-cool using Selah's proprietary temperature profile to stabilize crystal structure.
Finishing
14. After cleaning, perform final finishing through surface polishing or secondary processing as needed.
